We offer an inclusive training programme aimed at individuals with additional needs, learning disabilities, autism and mental health barriers, developing life skills, and gaining knowledge and practical skills in hospitality. Individuals complete various hands on modules with our staff at the individual’s pace.
Individuals will also have the opportunity to complete external training such as REHIS Food and Hygiene.
Individuals will help with food preparation, baking, cooking, serving, coffee and tea making, cleaning, advertising and business development. Individuals can assist both in the cafe space or at our kitchen facilities at Uppertunity if working directly with the public is too stressful.
We welcome all individuals of all abilities, and no previous experience is needed. Individuals volunteer as many hours or days as they wish.
If you would like to to join our team and become a volunteer, or refer someone, please get in touch and we will arrange a time to chat and get to know you to find out how best to support you. Every single volunteer plays an important role and is equal in our team.
